It's Not About the Snow by Cullen Wallace — book cover

About the book

The book began as short daily reflections Cullen wrote in his kitchen, with dinner on the stove and music playing. Across 12 chapters, he treats life's hardest seasons as a mountain nearly everyone ends up on, and argues that the conditions don't get the final say in how we come down.

He writes about losing his mother, the 16 months he cared for his father, Charles "Chick" Wallace, and his own inner battles. Chapters like "Give Yourself Some Grace," "Your 3 A.M. People," and "You Don't Have To, You Get To" offer practical reframes for anyone grieving, struggling, or supporting someone who is.

"Getting to sit across from people in Fairbanks, sign their copy and hear about their own mountain is the part I've looked forward to most."Cullen Wallace
